Please note that 2000m racing in Small Boats (10s) for Premiers and Senior A will be run dependent upon sufficient final entries being received and there being available time at the conclusion of the standard 2000m races. Please note that crew sheets for 2000m racing must have no double rostering of paddlers (including reserves) between Standard & Small Boats. Also racing will not be delayed to wait for sweeps and drummers to change boats.

  • Small Boat crews will be using Small Boats for racing at the AusChamps 2016.
  • Reminder regarding Qualification for Club Crew World Championships (CCWC) 2016: Clubs that qualified for events at CCWC 2016 must be represented in those same categories at AusChamps 2016. Failure to do so will negate your CCWC entry.
  • The Breast Cancer Survivors (BCS) Race is to be run as a separate race and is not limited to DAA paddlers. Composite teams are allowed but must be uniformed as one team/club. Male breast cancer survivors can compete in BCS category. Please note that AusDBF Competition Regulations & Rules of Racing apply. The Anna Wellings-Booth perpetual trophy will be awarded to the winning team based on points accrued across heats & final (please note that no medals will be awarded).
  • Qualification for the 2018 Club Crew World Championships (CCWC) is as  follows: Three (3) CCWC qualifiers will be determined at the AusChamps 2016 and Two (2) CCWC qualifiers will be determined at the AusChamps 2017. Clubs who qualify are still required to attend the AusChamps in the following year to retain their qualification. All teams, regardless of their country of origin, will be able progress to Major Finals and win medals.
  • The first three crews will be awarded medals in the TransTasman Championships. The first three Australian crews will be awarded a podium finish in the Australian Club Championship. For example, if the Major Final results are:1st) GreenDragons (Qld), 2nd) Kiwi Dragons (NZ), 3) Blue Dragons (SA) and 4) White Dragons (Tas), the gold medal for the TransTasman Championship will go to the Green Dragons from Queensland, the silver medal to the Kiwi Dragons from New Zealand and the bronze to the Blue Dragons from South Australia. However, the Australian Championship medals will go to Green Dragons (gold), Blue Dragons (silver) and the White Dragons (bronze).
